Dr Dr Solon Alexander Riris has spent the last 18 years in London. He is a graduate form University College London (UCL) and has specialised in some of the most prominent London teaching hospitals over the past 12 years. These include, University College Hospital, Kings College London, Chelsea and Westminster and St Mary’s Hospital in Paddington. He has successfully achieved the completion of specialist training in London (CCST). He practises advanced obstetrics , is a believer of natural childbirth and has a low caesarean section rate. He has managed many patients with complex medical conditions such as severe pre-eclampsia and poorly controlled diabetes and also delivered normally many patients who had a previous caesarean section and twins. He has spent four years at CRGH (Centre for Reproductive and Genetic Health) which is one of the leading Fertility units in London. He has vast experience in managing complex subfertility cases and ensures that his patients are at the centre of any medical decision and IVF (In Vitro Fertilisation) care plan. Low dose stimulation and natural cycle IVF are employed where possible to reduce the potential risk of ovarian hyperstimulation. Having worked at several endometriosis centres Dr Riris is an advanced laparoscopic surgeon and has performed a large number of Laparoscopic procedures such as myomectomies, hysterectomies and removing large ovarian cysts and complex endometriosis. His time at the Royal Marsden Hospital in central London means he has experience in managing oncology cases and he has developed his skills further by using the Davinci Surgical Robot (Xi). He uses the best ultrasound technology available to help diagnose various gynaecological pathologies with 3D and 4D ultrasound. As a member of the Royal College of Obstetrics and Gynaecology (MRCOG) and European Society of Human Reproduction and Embryology (ESHRE) he practised evidence based medicine ensuring patients receive high level care.
